OCTOBER
Quilt As-You-Go
Tuesdays, October 3 & 17 Time: 12:00 – 4:00
In this class, you will learn to make projects without putting the entire thing through your sewing machine to quilt it. This class meets every other Tuesday afternoon; you will make a project of your selection (or Terry will make suggestions for projects if wanted). Each block will be pieced, then sandwiched with batting and quilted. It is fun to quilt and practice when it is only on a single block! There are several techniques, including sashing, to join the blocks. You can use these techniques with any quilt block, traditional to modern. You need basic piecing and quilting knowledge to join this class. Come, have fun and learn something new!

Wednesdays, October 4, 11, 18 & 25 Time: 1:00 – 4:00
Let’s do some EASY quilting projects just for the fun of getting together and sewing! This class is open to ALL adult levels. We will select the projects from quick, easy patterns – nothing overwhelming! Fabrics are each individual’s choice.

This class is for anyone working on Kimberbell Embroidery projects. You can work on ANY Kimberbell project you want and get assistance from Myrt with any questions. It might be a quilt, bench pillow, mug rugs, wallhangings or ask for suggestions. Kimberbell has a wide range of levels for machine embroidery each with a variety of techniques. They are always coming out with new projects. And they are SO fun to do!

Interested in making projects in the hoop? Give it a try with Kimberbell! Never done embroidery, new to embroidery features, or looking for a fun make & take this class is for you! During this session you will complete a Monster Munch cinch bag and a Candy Corn mug rug. All you need to bring is a USB if you would like the designs to make again. Projects have been taught in previous Kimberbell events. Class limited to 8.

Bondi Top Extension – Simple Garment Class
Wednesdays, October 11, 18, 25 & November 1 Time: 6:00 – 8:45
In this class, we will be taking the Bondi Top an extra step for fall. We will be adding sleeves and length with cozy fabrics for the perfect autumn tunic. If you need special fitting – please schedule with Darla before the first class.

Learn how to quilt your own quilt projects on your domestic sewing machine simply using rulers. Everyone can do it!
Let’s get together and quilt. Bring your sewing machine or use one of ours. Please call to sign up each month. There is a basic supply list and a new ruler may need to be purchased for future classes. Last Tuesday of every month!

Dancing Diamonds Gem Bag

This simple yet elegant tote bag will definitely make you think of gems. Using a custom interfacing, you will be able to make perfect diamonds to construct your bag. This jeweled inspired tote is sized at 15.5”w X 13.5”h x 6.5”d.

Beginning Quilting (Daytime)
Mondays, November 6, 13, 20, 27, Dec. 4, 11 & 18 Time: 1:00 – 4:00
This class is for beginners in the truest sense of the word. Everything will be included from fabric selection, rotary cutting, piecing, quilting and binding! When you finish you will have a nice wall hanging or table top size quilt. And you will be ready to make a quilt on your own!

Terry’s Shoe Class
Saturdays, November 11 & 18 Time: 10:00 – 4:00
Have you ever thought of making your own unique shoes? Well, you can. You will make a quilted pair of sneakers with the fabric you select. Using a hand stitched sole and insert, you will construct a pair of sneakers that matches your personality. Terry says the hardest part of it all is selecting the fabric you want! We will place a group order for the soles so no one has to pay the shipping charge or worry about getting them in time. Sole size and color must be chosen and paid for by November 1st. Size chart can be found online or in the store. Soles are available in white, black, or tan.

Class Cancellation and Refund Policy: Please sign up early to reserve your place in class. Classes must be paid for before our cancellation deadline (three days before class starts). You may cancel and receive a full refund up to three days before class. After the three day limit you will receive store credit. If a class is cancelled by us you may have your class fee refunded or receive store credit. If class enrollment does not meet the minimum requirement, it may be cancelled.
